Introducing The Centre

Yamoussoukro has suffered right along with the rest of the country, but the amazing Basilique de Notre Dame de la Paix is such a point of pride that it was spared during the November 2004 riots. Though it is still possible to travel to the capital, the nearby national parks are off limits until the crisis ends, and even then, unfortunately, it’s hard to believe there will be much forest or wildlife left.
