I was wondering if anyone can tell me how easy and safe (for a single female mid 30s)it is to travel between Abidjan and Bobo (or Ouaga) by bus. Is this something you would recommend doing, or would it be wiser to fly?
Also, if I start in Burkina, is it possible to obtain a visa to Cote d'Ivoire at the border?
I am currently in Marcory area.
I am looking for a place like "bureau of change" or so tu exchange money . Xof to euros
I do not like banks to do it
Thanks a lot
50 minutes ago, the Ivorian Minister of Health gave a press conference (https://www.facebook.com/Mslsci/videos/674569459375418/ )
The borders with Liberia & Guinea are OPEN!!!

my friends and I are going to travel in October by car from Senegal - Guinea - Cote d'Ivoire to Ghana. I am wondering if anyone could advise me of the current safety situatiuon in Cote d'Ivoire. We are not planing to spend much time in big cities or turist places since we are more keen on the wildlife and rural areas.
In particular, I would like to learn more about places or regions that are not considered safe or recommended not to go to. How is the safety situation there now?
Early October I will be overlanding Cote d'ivory from Ghana.
I would like to know how difficult is. I have visa but I do not like brives and undesirable situations with the police.
Does anyone have any experience at this border?
I would also like to know a local person to show me around Abiyan.
Thanks in advance :)
A friend and I would like to hire a driver/guide for ~5 days to take us around Côte d'Ivoire. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced person who speaks decent English? Thank you.
I've heard that the border with Guinea is still closed. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there are any plans to re-open it? Is it closed both ways or can I travel from Cote d'Ivoire to Guinea?
I'm planning to go there in early November.
Thanks for any info.
