Clínica Bíblica (257 5252; www.clinicabiblica.com; Av 14 btwn Calles Central & 1) The top private clinic in the downtown area; doctors speak English, French and German; an emergency room is open 24 hours. Be prepared to pay for medical attention, though costs are generally much cheaper than in the USA or Europe.
Hospital San Juan de Dios (257 6282; cnr Paseo Colón & Calle 14) The free public hospital is centrally located, but waits are long.
Hospital Clínica Católica (246 3000; www.clinicacatolica.com; Guadalupe) A private clinic located north of downtown.
