Run by the friendly Ronny and his darling family, this hostel has a variety of wood-walled rooms, from clean dorms to private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, all including a good breakfast, free Internet access, tea and coffee and a great shared kitchen. The place is spotless and cosy, perched on a cliff with beautiful views of both forest-covered mountains and ocean. Common areas are tidy and convivial, and Ronny himself brings an ebullient energy to the place, which is what really adds to its appeal. And it's just a short stroll up the hill to the centre of Santa Elena.
