Hello and thank you all ahead of time.
My daughter (2yrs. old) and I will be traveling to Costa Rica in January for two weeks and then to Panama for another two weeks (maybe one). I am very much so wanting to budget and make my dollar stretch reasonably while away for the month. I am looking for a cultural city, with tourist attracted (but not extremely popular), english speaking, transportation, near nature/animals and lastly all-inclusivemost importantly!
I also need a city to travel to in…
I have narrowed down the first couple of months of our Central America trip and am down to the final leg– Costa Rica and Panama. Unfortunately I have left hubby and I less time than I would have liked in these two countries – I am thinking we have about two weeks.
Our interests for these countries be seeing the wildlife and biodiversity CR in particular is famous for - the jungles, wildlife plus taking in some of outdoor activities- hiking, kayaking, swimming, etc. Panama will mostly…
Although not so exciting because Nature Air already covers those routes but the part about the new Air Costa Rica kind of looked like it might lower fares somewhat.
I am wondering if it is worth to go to Boca Tapada as it seems to be hard to get there. Is it a must see or can Cano Negro be a good alternative? And if Boca Tapada is a must see can I get there from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca in a day by public transport?
Any answers are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
We are going to CR for 2 weeks in Nov (we fly into San Jose) with 2 kids (11 and 15) and are planning to rent a car. Is it realistic to do the Peninsula de Nicoya (Samara, Mal Pais) and also travel down through Uvita to the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park? Ideally I would love to visit Caño Island. I'm trying to figure out how we would drive to the peninsula and then down the western coast without having to go through SJ too many times. Are we trying to squeeze too much in?
we are visiting Costa Rica this Christmas. Travelling with two boys (6, 8 years). We tried to prepare an itinerary, what do you think about it? We dont like overcrowded places (if there is such a place during the Christmas in CR :).
We will arrive to San Jose and leave from Liberia airport.
We start in Alajuela, heading to Cahuita (Playa Uva, Bribri?, Manzanillo). We plan to stop also in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. On the way back we have plans to visit one or more of these - Caňo Negro…
I know this is a very broad question. But I fly into San Jose on a Sunday and fly out on the following Sunday. Traveling by myself. Very weak Spanish but I'm trying to learn. I'd rather not rent a car. Nature and culture are my primary interests. I enjoy the beach but am not a surfer or snorkler. And I think I might like to incorporate a few days in Nicaragua. With Nicaragua in mind, I investigated flying in to Liberia but it was literally twice as expensive to do so. Anyone have…
