Meet Thomas and Hannah. He's Czech and makes the hot sauce and the vinegar; she's American and bakes the cookies and breads. Although you can find their creations throughout El Castillo, the fiery hot sauces and vinegars are cheapest at the source and made from peach palm, the ancient indigenous cash crop in Costa Rica. Breads and cookies are made to order. They sell their wares out of their house, just uphill from Essence Arenal in the heart of El Castillo.
