Perched on land that becomes a virtual island in the Río Frío during the rainy season, this lodge is surprisingly upscale considering its remote location. Well-appointed rooms have hot showers, glass-bowl sinks, wood furnishings, air-con and satellite TV. The friendly staff can arrange all your trips while you relax in the pleasant pool or Jacuzzi, or stroll the leafy grounds that have a bit of golden bamboo mixed in among the native trees. The onsite restaurant, Jabirú, is open to the public and has wi-fi.
