Lonely Planet review
At the entrance to town you’ll see a small path that leads up the (steep) hill to one of our favorite B&Bs. Also known as Nido del Colibri, it’s owned by a former Pan Am flight attendant and all-round world traveler who has found a small slice of paradise to call her own. Her quaint complex has two guest rooms with private hot showers, access to a fabulous communal kitchen, and enough frilly pillows to make you miss home. Soak the night away in a huge outdoor Jacuzzi in the garden. There's a two-night minimum.
Our independent authors have visited Hummingbird Nest B&B and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in El Castillo.
Description provided by property
Hummingbird Nest is central to the village of El Castillo where you can walk to some of the local attractions and restaurants. Others are within a short driving distance.
Breakfast is included, free WIFI, hiking, mini bar refrigerators, ceiling fans, hot water showers, verandas with panoramic views. The B&B has two rooms, one that sleeps four and the other three. The beds are one queen in each room and one twin in one and two twins in the other, thus both rooms can sleep seven guests. We can book all tours and transports for you.
The outside hot tub makes for a relaxing and soothing way to end your day as you watch the volcano.
