Lonely Planet review

This Dutch-Tico outpost is one of the top budget bets in town, and is perennially popular with backpackers from around the world. Rooms are tiled, and steamy hot-water showers (dorms have shared bathrooms) are clean and secure. There’s also a shared kitchen with fridge, a pool and free internet around the clock. Plus, you can meet fellow travelers on the upstairs balcony and swap travel stories over a few cans of Imperial until the wee hours of the morning.

Our independent authors have visited Hotel De Haan and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Jacó.
