Lonely Planet review
Across the road from the beach at Puerto Viejo's western edge, this funky guesthouse has 17 snug, basic rooms, ranging from dim units with shared cool-water showers to more spacious garden rooms with air-con and private bathroom. The property also includes a bungalow, a private cabin and three apartments.
A 2nd-floor lounge is filled with hammocks and offers prime ocean views. The restaurant serves craft beer from a local brewery and bikes are available for rent.
Our independent authors have visited Kaya's Place and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca.
