I am going to travel to Panama and Costa Rica for 3 weeks at the end of March 2017. This will be my first time traveling solo and I am already pretty nervous about that :) I am a 29 years old swiss female (30 by the time of the travel) and I am seeking on any feedbacks and advices on my itinerary.
I am planning on enjoying nature, wildlife, beaches and good nightlife and my travel plans are as follows:
o Arriving: 16th March at 10.27
o Leaving: 18th of March early morning
My daughter and I are planning to spend the Christmas/New Year holidays in Costa Rica. We both like to be active; but my daughter likes more high energy sports such as surfing, scuba diving, rock climbing whereas I prefer to hike, snorkel, yoga. We both like to eat and drink and maybe shop a little so we’re not looking for a “sleepy” town. I’m looking for places where we could find most of these requirements within easy travelling distance. We hope to stay in a hostel (private room) to save…
Hello, I'm arriving in SJO at 11:35 am on the 29th, and my destination is Nosara. I see on here (http://thebusschedule.com/EN/cr/) that a bus leaves at 1:00 pm from Empresa Alfaro. Do you think it's realistic to get to the bus station in time from the airport, and that the bus wouldn't already be fully booked? If I can't make it and have to wait until the 7:30 departure the next morning, is it worth it to go to the station and book ahead?
I've traveled out of that station before, but it's been…
We are travelling to CR in 2 weeks and i can't seem to decide on a route!. I think i have one sorted but then read mixed reviews.
I was thinking something like this:
1 night on arrival near airport.
Drive to Boruca to stay with the Boruca tribe. 1 night
stay near Manuel Antonia NP - 2n
drive north to stay in Arenal, La fortuna, Monteverde - area for 3 nights - hike, walk etc.
then drive to stay with Bri Bri and visit sloth and jaguar sanctuary
We have 2 weeks in total so the extra days will…
hallo to everybody, i'm planning an individual organized tour in CR so probably everything is already planned but my question is: WHAT ABOUT FOOD ???not just the recepies but an opinion can a sofisticated tourist eat and survive?
I travelled sufficiently around the world but in some places I enjoyed food in some other I survived. Are there special fruit or dessert or plates you really can suggest me, italian girl???is it there the problem of Montezuma Revenge?
I read a lot info about weather…
Got a quote for $517(excluding mandatory insurance of $167) for 2 weeks from Vamos.
Quote of $139(exc. insurance, and they don't tell me how much it will be) from Alamo, for similar cars.
Any comments? I've heard the car rental business there can be....contentious, and that Vamos was least problematic, according to some source, but I hate to pay That much more.
What is the best and least expensive way to get from airport to southern Caribbean Coat Region? We are four adults and will not be renting a car.
Hi there I am at the early stages of planning a trip to CR with my kids for next Easter. We are going for 16 days and so far have Fortuna, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio and Caribbean coast on my hit list. I'm having real trouble planning this trip - I seem to have done tons of research and not finding anything that fits my needs. Please help before I give up!
The most important thing I can't find is a mid-range hotel with a pool preferably on a beach (budget around $130 per night for 4) in Manuel…
I am planning a trip next January. As I travel with my wife and my 4 years old daughter, they stay in Puerto Jimenez and we’ll meet, if possibile, in Palmar norte.
My questions is:
- how much will be the fee for guide for 3 days? I am alone and I can’t share price, unless I fine other guy there;
- everyone say is wonderful, which animal I see? Ocelot or jaguarondi possibile or very very difficult?
- my plan is start PJ, Carate, and arrive in La Sirena; second day do some trails near La Sirena; third…
