This place attracts fish-lovers, who arrive for steaming portions of seafood stew served in a pleasant 2nd-story balcony overlooking the main drag. The place gets packed, especially in high season (make a reservation). It is located right next to Coco’s Bar, putting post-dinner drinks within easy reach.

    An absolute Jewel in Costa Rica's best resort town

    Julian's restaurant is nothing short of fantastic. The food is first rate and this owner will stop at nothing to make your visit memorable. I go at least once every time I go to Costa Rica, to the point where when I married, this was the only place I considered holding the reception. He bent over backwards to give us the best plan imaginable, spent his day decorating the place for us with local Flora, Fauna and LED lights, and then blew us away with his cooking prowess! I am a hobby chef, and have cooked some amazing steaks in my time, but I've never had a steak better than his filet cooked in coconut milk. Simply amazing. The coconut flan he served us for desert was heavenly. Everyone says their reception was memorable, but I can't imagine how this could have been better. The seafood soup and heart of palm salad served before the main course were amazing too. Everything was perfect (and someone always bitches about something going wrong at their reception; not here)! Thank you Julian, we will be back again and again.
