The Zoológico de Cali has a good collection of species indigenous to Colombia, including chiguiros (capybaras), oso hormigueros (anteaters), condors, monkeys and a mariposario (butterfly enclosure). It’s 2km southwest of the center in Barrio Santa Teresita and is most easily accessed by taxi.

    Big Zoo

    savethejungle recommends this,

    This is a big Zoo, and it can definitely compete with other big Zoos around the world. Is also within walking distance of a restaurant called Cali Viejo that has an Old Colonial Plantation ambience, and you could then take a taxi downtown for a dollar or walk to La Tertulia.
