When you see olives trees, try the mediterranean food.

When you arrive Villa de Leiva is almost mandatory to leave the car and start walking between antiques Spanish type colonial houses over stone streets. Near the central plaza you’ll find several restaurants, many of them offer Colombian typical food, but somebody that live there or knows the town may suggest Zarina. Not a typical name for a non conventional restaurant. Art gallery as well, this wonderful refugee offers a Mediterranean menu that suits perfect with the dessert surrounding (La Candelaria Dessert, is the only place in Colombia where the olive trees grow). It’s a unique place that becomes in an alternative for all, vegetarians and carnivores.
