Getting there & away
The bus terminal is on Av Oriental, a short walk southeast of Plaza de Bolívar. Buses to Bogotá (US$4.50, 2½ to three hours) depart every 10 to 15 minutes. If you're going to central Bogotá, you could get off at the corner of Portal del Norte and Calle 170 and change for the TransMilenio, but during rush hour it's more comfortable to go to the bus terminal and take a taxi.
Buses going to Bucaramanga (US$15, seven hours) run at least every hour. They all travel from Bogotá and pass through San Gil (US$9, 4½ hours).
Minibuses to Villa de Leyva (US$1.80, 45 minutes) depart regularly until about 6pm.
