Do I need to book internal flights (specifically VivaColombia) well in advance or is it enough to book them 2 to 5 days before departure? Do the prices become more expensive the later you leave it or do they stay the same or even come down?
I would like to know so I can make my traveling in Colombia a little more flexible instead of sticking to a rigid plan.
I will be traveling in August and September with routes: Bogota-Medellin, Medellin-Santa Marta, Cartegana-San Andres, San Andres-Bogota.

Does anyone know how to get to Isla Grande from Cartagena? I would like to stay on the island for 2 nights June 3-4 and all I can get info on are boat tours. Have tried numerous times to reach hotels, eco-resorts anyone by phone on Isla Grande with no luck. Also, can anyone recommend a place to stay on the island? Will be with my 84 yr old mom!
Suggestions for places to stay in Cartagena as very welcome too!
Thank you all in advance!
