Facing the quaint flower-filled León de Greiff park and steps from the heart of the Zona Rosa's shops and eateries, the six-floor Morrison is a European-style boutique hotel with a slightly formal air and nice staff.
Curiously named for a street in Washington DC, the Morrison features some nice views - most rooms overlook the park and the mountains to the west, but also catch some traffic noise from nearby Calle 85. Colour schemes of the rooms mix it up, but all have cable TV, work desks and a small table with chairs facing the big windows. For a little more space and at a little more cost, there are five suites. Mostly business travellers check in, or stop by the Cities Restaurant for power lunches. The 'American breakfast' buffet is free for guests. Atop the building is a small gym and sauna, both with views; the 24-hour business centre is next to the lobby. The Morrison plans to celebrate its 10-year anniversary in 2006 by adding a 20-room annexe next door.
