Taxi

Tǎchéng is small enough to get around on foot. If you’re coming from Kazakhstan, take a shared taxi for Y5 into town.

Bus & tram

Bus

There are two daily buses to Tǎchéng (Y132 to Y142, 12 hours) from Ürümqi, departing at 11am and 7pm. From Tǎchéng to Ürümqi the time and price are similar.

Daily flights operate between Ürümqi and Tǎchéng; you can purchase your tickets (Y390) from CAAC ; Zhōngguó Mínháng; 622 3428).
