Getting there & away

There are two buses to Ürümqi (Y120 to Y137, 13 hours) at 11am and 8pm, and Jímǔnǎi (Y12, two hours) at 11am and 6pm.

You could also take a bus to Altai (Ālètài, Y15, 1½ hours) and try from there. Altai also has an airport with daily flights to/from Ürümqi (Y450). At the time of writing a new rail line was also being constructed from the capital to Altai. Buses run to/from the city hourly (Y15, 1½ hours) between 9am and 7pm.
