Introducing Zöigê
A dusty concrete town set amid the grasslands, Zöigê doesn’t have much pull for travellers other than as a resting point en route to Lǎngmùsì and north to Gānsù province. It is easy enough to spend a day here sipping tea in the sun and at the northeastern edge of town is a gompa (, sìyuàn) with pleasant, peaceful grounds. While the town’s Chinese name is Ruòěrgài, it is most commonly referred to by its Tibetan name, Zöigê.
