Known as Jessfield Park to the British, this is a moderately interesting park located in the north east, in the former ‘Badlands’ area of 1930s Shànghǎi. Kids will like Fundazzle ( 翻斗乐; Fāndǒulè), an adventure playground with slides, mazes and tunnels.

    A nice park for a cool walk

    Zhongshan Park (中山公园) is a very nice public park, conveniently located on Metro Lines 2,3, and 4. The rides were closed every time I went, but the landscape is well-maintained. There are big lawns, lily ponds, and a lot of cool, shaded paths. The park is a 5 minute walk away from a few big shopping malls.
