Lonely Planet review for Metersbonwe Costume Museum
This captivating private museum was opened by the owner of Chinese fashion giant Metersbonwe to display the traditional attire of Han Chinese and ethnic groups from around the country. The collection is enormous (not everything is on display) and ranges from Emperor Qianlong’s dragon robes and Shànghǎi qípáo (cheongsam dress) to delicate embroidery from China’s southwest and even an outfit made of salmon skin. It’s located on the fifth floor of their flagship store (those who want to take a look at today’s youth fashion may also be interested in checking out the store – Metersbonwe has over 1800 locations across China).

Not there!
dariaj does not recommend this,
As of today, January 6, 2011, the museum is nowhere to be found in that location. Asking store staff (the store remains), even in Chinese, didn't yield any information on where the museum moved. It is cited in the Lonely Planet 2010 Shanghai City Guide, so please remove it from future editions.
