Opened by Shànghǎi photographer and publisher Deke Erh, the Old China Hand Reading Room is a bright space stuffed with antique furnishings and bookshelves, the highlight being a collection of illustrated books on Shànghǎi (published by Old China Hand Press), which you can browse through or purchase. There’s also tea, coffee (from Y30) and wi-fi access.
