Expo 2010 Commemoration Exhibition
Shànghǎi Museum of Public Security
It may sound turgid and dull, but this museum has some gems among the inevitable displays on traffic control and post- Liberation...
The local basketball team is the Shanghai Sharks, who haven’t been the same since Yao Ming departed for the Houston Rockets in 2002....
Lonely Planet review
For aerial views of the World Expo grounds or for those seeking to measure the extent of Shànghǎi’s urban sprawl, climb up to a viewing platform at the apex of the city’s longest suspension bridge. The entrance is located at the end of Luban Rd (under the bridge). It’s one elevator ride and an additional 367 wind-blown steps to the top. If you take a taxi, insist on the address; the bridge is 4km long and the driver will probably have no idea what you are looking for.
