Lonely Planet review for Bai’s Restaurant
This family-run restaurant has only a handful of tables and the food is deservedly popular, so book ahead. Try a few of Bai’s fried savoury pork ribs and tiger-skin chillies.

Simple place with good food
amondry recommends this,
As the short description is not very exhaustive, we went there for a family Christmas dinner. As for ambience, this was the wrong choice- it is just a very simple restaurant and, despite some English descriptions on the menu, definitely geared towards the local clientele. The food, however, made up for this. We had an excellent meal, nine dishes, two large bottles of beer and one small serving of rice wine for about 800 renminbi. This included two helpings of a specialty high altitude lake fish with fermented rice; sparrow stomach with truffles; mutton stew; pork ribs; chicken wings; tofu; lady fingers; seaweed and ham. The service was friendly, the atmosphere convivial but think more pub or bistro (Chinese style) than restaurant. As for atmosphere- well, it is just a neighbourhood place and doent have much of a special atmosphere, but then you might be looking just for that...
