The only restaurant in the Cool Docks that seems to have taken off, Mingtang’s earth-coloured tones provide a soothing counterpoint to Shànghǎi’s frenetic energy. The menu (new-wave Chinese) has a selection of organic vegetables, free-range poultry and lots of seafood. Favourites include the fried prawns with apple thousand-island dressing (Y98), roast Mongolian lamb with potato cakes (Y128) and almond-papaya chilled cake (Y32) for dessert.
