Lonely Planet review

Among the best of Macau's gardens, and the only Chinese-style garden you can find in Macau, is cool and shady Lou Lim Ioc Garden, with huge shade trees, lotus ponds, bamboo groves, grottoes and a bridge with nine turns (to escape from evil spirits who can only move in straight lines). Local people use the park to practise t'ai chi or play traditional Chinese musical instruments.

The renovated Victorian-style Lou Lim Ioc Garden Pavilion (Pavilhão do Jardim de Lou Lim Ioc; 988 4128; admission free; ; - Tue-Sun), is used for temporary exhibits and for recitals during the Macau International Music Festival in late October/November.

Adjacent to the garden is the recently opened Macao Tea Culture House (Caultura do Chá em Macau; ; - Tue-Sun), displaying the Guangdong tea culture with exhibits of various teapots.
