Getting around Liáoníng is easy. In addition to the rail lines that crisscross the region, a network of highways between the major cities make bus travel a speedy, comfortable alternative.

Shěnyáng, the province’s transport hub, is a convenient starting point for exploring the northeast. Extensive rail connections link Shěnyáng with cities south and north, and you can fly to Shěnyáng from many other Chinese cities, from South Korea or from the Russian Far East.

Alternatively, travel by sea or air to Dàlián, and from there head north by bus or train. Boats connect Dàlián with Shànghǎi, Tiānjīn and several cities in Shāndōng province, while frequent flights link Dàlián with Běijīng and other major cities.
