Rejoice! Tónglǐ finally has a youth hostel! The main location is hard to find (walk across the main bridge onto 中川北路, look on your right for a sign that says 根和民居 and walk inside the tiny alley), but it's a stunner.
Zhèngfú Cǎotáng
The best accommodation in town. There are 14 deluxe rooms, all tastefully furnished in Qing-style furniture and antiques. Rooms wouldn't be out of place in a Wallpaper spread, with hues of gold and brown, and ultramodern toilets.
