Lonely Planet review for Hong Kong Maritime Museum
This small but interesting museum, occupying the ground floor of Murray House, consists of ancient and modern galleries charting the shipping history of Hong Kong. It’s well worth a visit if you’ve already come to see Murray House. The modern gallery includes some fun interactive displays where you can test your skills at Morse code or even pilot a tanker through Hong Kong waters.

A surprisingly great little museum!
angriest recommends this,
This museum was a complete surprise. We ducked in on a whim, and discovered a small but intriguing museum. The history of seafaring in China is told in one half, with the help of intricately constructed model replicas, each based on contemporary descriptions, drawings and paintings from the time. The second half details the development of Hong Kong as a maritime port, again with the help of some impressive models.
If you go, don't forget to appreciate Murray House itself, in which the museum is based. It's a beautiful colonial building, originally build in Central but relocated brick by brick to the Stanley foreshore.
