Jumbo Kingdom Floating Restaurant information
Recently refurbished, Jumbo Kingdom comprises two restaurants – Jumbo Floating Restaurant and Tai Pak Floating Restaurant. The three-story 'floating' extravaganzas (they're fastened by concrete) look like Běijīng’s Imperial Palace crossbred with Macau’s Casino Lisboa – so kitsch they're fun. Eschew the overpriced Dragon Court on the second floor and head to the third floor for dim sum.
There’s free transport for diners from the pier on Aberdeen Promenade . Jumbo's celebrity visitors have included Queen Elizabeth II, Tom Cruise and Chow Yun Fat. It's also appeared in a number of movies, the latest being Contagion starring Gwyneth Paltrow. Tai Pak was featured in Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing (1955), starring William Holden, and Enter the Dragon (1973) starring Bruce Lee.
