Sampan Tours
Sampan tours are a fun way to see parts of the island’s south coast, and you can easily find sampan operators milling around the eastern end of the Aberdeen Promenade. Usually they charge around $68 per person for a 30-minute ride (about $120 to Sok Kwu Wan and $150 to Yung Shue Wan on Lamma). If you want just a glimpse of the harbour, you can take a small ferry across to Ap Lei Chau Island (adult/child under 12 $1.80/1), which is also a destination for bargain hunters drawn to its outlet stores. Alternatively, just hop on the free ferry to Jumbo Kingdom Floating Restaurant and come back.
