    Water Supplies Department

While there are almost no restrictions on deep-sea fishing, it’s a different story at Hong Kong’s 17 freshwater reservoirs, where the season runs from September to March and there are limits on the quantity and size of fish (generally various types of carp and tilapia) allowed. A licence from the Water Supplies Department costs $24 and is valid for three years.
