Getting there & around
Since trains, buses and flights connect Hāěrbīn with other cities throughout China, it’s a logical starting point for exploring the far north. From Hāěrbīn, you can travel west to Qíqíhā’ěr, north to Wǔdàlián Chí and the Russian border regions, or travel east to Yàbùlì, Mǔdānjiāng and Jìngpò Hú.
Good highways make bus transport an alternative to the sometimes-slower local trains.
If you’re headed for Inner Mongolia, direct trains run from Hāěrbīn to the cities of Hǎilāěr or Mǎnzhōulǐ.
