Land
Bus
Deluxe and economy buses leave from the long-distance bus station and the ferry terminal. Destinations include Fúzhōu (Y68 to Y99, 2½ to three hours), Wǔyí Shān (Y124 to Y202, nine hours), Quánzhōu (Y27 to Y37, 1½ hours) and Shàntóu (Y100, five hours). There are also express buses to Guǎngzhōu (Y200 to Y300, 12 hours), Shēnzhèn (Y180, nine hours), Hong Kong (Y300 to Y350, 10 hours) and Shànghǎi (Y330 to Y413). Buses also make trips inland to Lóngyán (Y50, three hours) and Yǒngdìng (Y45, five hours).
Train
From Xiàmén there are direct trains to destinations including Hángzhōu (Y231, 26 hours), Shànghǎi (Y281, 27 hours), Běijīng (Y443, 34 hours) and Wǔyí Shān (Y149, 13 hours). Book tickets at the train station or through CITS (335 Hexiang Xilu), which will make bookings for a Y35 service fee.
Air
Xiamen Airlines is the main airline under the CAAC banner in this part of China. There are innumerable ticket offices around town, many of which are in the larger hotels, such as the Holiday Inn.
CAAC has flights to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang and Singapore. Silk Air (205 3280) flies to Singapore and has an office in the Holiday Inn. All Nippon Airways (573 2888) flies to Osaka, and has ticket agents at the Holiday Inn and Lujiang Hotel. Dragonair (202 5433) is in the Marco Polo Hotel.
Xiàmén airport has flights to all major domestic destinations around China, including Wǔyí Shān (Y590) four times a week. Airport departure tax is Y90.
