Fújiàn has a subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and drizzly cold winters. June through August brings soaring temperatures and humidity, with torrential rains and typhoons common. In the mountainous regions, winters can be fiercely cold. The best time to visit is spring (March–May) and autumn (September–October).
