The only place where you’ll get to see pandas in the capital, Beijing Zoo has upped its game recently, even if some of the enclosures will make animal lovers wince. Located in what used to be the garden of a Qing-era worthy, it's a nice spot for a walk. The more modern aquarium at the back of the complex has fun seal and dolphin shows. You can also catch a boat to the Summer Palace from here.
