went back after leave my food.

    sameermumbay does not recommend this,

we went to raj recently in beijing with our friends but unfortunatly it was worst experience we had.food and service was horrable.than we recommended by thier chef about masala indian restaurant, which is just few steps from raj and we had such experience as -----
Great. You know these restaurants that are based in hidden places where you reckon they will never work? And then they are always full of locals?
Try this rule of thumb, if you see Indian people in an indian restaurant, Japanese in a Japanese…always worth it.
One of the best Indian i have ever been, and i have eaten at many like raj(a worst experience).
Naan with green chilies, amazing, tender, hot as hell and yet full of chili flavor. Kebab was good, again hot, and tasty. Curries are great. I asked for jalfrezi, and it was delicious. My friend ate vindaloo and he was pleased as well. Service was really really friendly.
We paid less than 160 yuan.
    Please go!!!!!

    disappointment

    dayabj does not recommend this,

Call me a hater, but I found Raj slightly disappointing. It wasn't that the food was bad, it was just that it wasn't amazing, and I think the food at Indique is just as good for about half the price.

The highlights of the meal were the tandoori salmon and the chicken makhani. The lentils and cauliflower were bland, and the gulab jamun dessert was only white flour ball dipped into sugar syrup.

Also our waiter was clueless. I actually thought he was the busboy until he asked for our order. Maybe he really was a busboy and was filling in on a busy night.

Not bad, but not great. Sorry!
I have found great indian restaurant just walking distance in a beautiful hutong is called nanluo guxiang,Mirch Masala indian cuisine.much much far better than raj.great atmoshphare and really cheap price.
