Lonely Planet review

With an excellent location at the northern end of Wangfujing Dajie, this hotel (self-advertised as five-star) also has Beijing's largest standard double rooms at 42 sq metres. The hotel is perhaps gaudy and decoratively gauche (eg the sky and clouds in the atrium, white tiles and upturned eaves outside), but the spacious rooms have broadband Internet access, satellite TV and there's a choice of Western, Chinese and Japanese restaurants.

Other facilities include indoor swimming pool, gym and a nightclub. Ask for promotional rates, especially during the off-season.
