Lonely Planet review
Far less atmosphere than its venerable cousin Leo Courtyard, but the dorms and rooms are more modern and frankly better, despite some lumpy mattresses, even if the overall vibe is rather sterile. But there’s a fair-sized communal area which does OK food, and it’s close to Tiān’ānmén Sq and the surrounding sights. Always busy, it’s worth booking ahead.
Our independent authors have visited Leo Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Temple of Heaven Park & Dōngchéng South.
