Hotel G Beijing
Lonely Planet review
It is hard to discern the advertised '60s retro-chic style, but this snazzy boutique hotel is certainly distinctive, from its deep purples, charcoal blacks, satins, floral prints and crushed velvet to the fibre-optics by the lobby elevators. Peruse the soothing pillow menu (six varieties) to complement the gorgeously comfortable beds, snap your iPod into the docking station and Bob’s your uncle. The ground-floor bar-restaurant Scarlett is very smart.
