Lonely Planet review
Temuco's best-kept secret is an underground local's haunt specializing in the fresh, simple food of the countryside served out of an indigenous-themed home. It's hard to find, not helped by the fact that the front entrance says 'Restaurante Las Acacias' instead of its real name, but the cheap, Chilean-Mapuche fusion is worth it (look for the Indian-themed graffitied wall). A typical menu here might include salad, beef cazuela with pumpkin, bread with a smoky hot sauce, avocado juice (try it!), and a super interesting quinoa and raspberry dessert, all for around CH$3100. You're welcome.
