Lonely Planet review
This boutique hotel in the old neighborhood of Modelo is full of furniture (headboards, wardrobes) fashioned from rescued railway trestles. The high-style lobby is cozy and follows the principles of feng shui. The 17 rooms, a step down from the high-design common areas, offer private bathroom and central heating and are entered from a sky-lit hallway visible through newly installed windows.
The in-house Slow Food restaurant, Anden, has limited choices but is excellent (mains CH$8500 to CH$8900).
Our independent authors have visited Hostel Tren del Sur and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Puerto Montt.
