Lonely Planet review

The fanciest place in town caters to package tours, business travelers and higher-end travelers with all of the amenities expected of a luxury lodging. It may seem a bit odd to walk in and out of the lobby in your hiking gear and muddy boots, but the helpful English-speaking staff are used to it. The pleasant street-level restaurant-bar has great views, plush couches and excellent food (don't miss the breakfast buffet).

Prices at top-end establishments do not reflect the additional 18% IVA charge, which foreigners are not required to pay if paying with credit cards or in US dollars cash. In the low season many places drop rates by as much as 40%. Rates are 50% less here from April to September.
