Getting there & away
Hitching from Puerto Natales is possible, but competition is heavy. Note that reaching El Calafate from the park on the same day requires joining a tour or careful advance planning, since there is no direct service and most buses aren't timed with making that connection in mind. You can try getting off in Cerro Castillo and wait for a ride to Argentina, but the most reliable option is to first return to Puerto Natales.
