Lonely Planet review for Ocean Pacific’s

From brass-rimmed portholes to fish tanks and a massive fiberglass whale skeleton, they’ve gone all out on under-the-sea decor here. The menu should come as no surprise then, not least because they’ve illustrated it with photos of each fishy dish. The kitsch factor is reason enough to come, but the massive seafood platters and traditional fish stews are surprisingly good, too.

    A Fun Dining Experience For The Whole Family

    If you're looking for something a little unusual, Ocean Pacific is exactly that. It has one of the most interesting and fun interiors I've ever seen at a restaurant with room after room of eye-popping decor. Each room has its own theme from being in a submarine to dining under a whale's skeleton. The place is crazy and kids will absolutely LOVE IT.

    The food at Ocean Pacific is good, but I wasn't wowed. My Salmon dish was competent, but nothing special. The appetizers were excellent and everyone at the table had well prepared and good-looking dishes. All-in-all, everyone at my party seemed pretty happy with their meals.

    The place reminds me a little of Trader Vic's with overpriced umbrella topped tutti-fruiti drinks, but it was FUN!!! After dinner the maitre d' will give you a guided tour of the entire restaurant. DO NOT MISS IT! This place is beyond over-the-top. It's not cheap, but it's something you'll have fond memories of for a long long time and your kids will be absolutely enchanted. Bring a camera and prepare to have a smile on your face the entire evening.
