Lonely Planet review for Normandie

With its varnished wood paneling and deadpan waiters, Normandie strives hard to look like a typical French café. The food is equally Gallic: think well-executed classics like lapin en gibelotte (rabbit in red wine) or duck à l’orange.

    Hip Crowd...Excellent Food

    Normandie serves "French-style" dishes that are quite good and reasonably priced. The place attracts a somewhat hip crowd. The atmosphere is casual and tourists will not be out of place. English is spoken and the wait staff are friendly.

    Unfortunately they pour a meager portion of wine when ordered by the glass...but overall, I like the place.
