Lonely Planet review
Pistachio-colored walls, a zebra-print rug, mismatched retro sofas and a mosaic-tiled bar are some of the pop-art charms of this centrally located hostel. Unfortunately, dorms look better than they feel – without air-con, they're rather airless on hot nights. It's worth splashing out more for an Andes apartment on the next block, especially as you'll get swimming pool access and possibly a private balcony.
Our independent authors have visited Andes Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Santiago.

Our hostel has the best location in Santiago. We're located in one of the most beautiful and well-known areas of downtown Santiago, the trendy and stylish Bellas Artes neighbourhood. This super-central spot is just two steps from almost all attractions in the city. It's within walking distance of the Bellavista entertainment district and nightlife center, close to the all most important museums and just in front of the Bellas Artes metro station.
