When it is not misting or raining, it tends to be sprinkling or drizzling. The rain here is not to be feared or loathed but understood as an essential characteristic of this enchanting land - that which gives Chiloé its unforgettable deep green coloring. The weather can change rapidly and the sun will peek through even in the heart of winter in June and July. Summer, especially January and February, is your best bet for clear skies.
