I'd love to swim with the rays at Stingray city but I hate the idea of boat captains grabbing rays, tacky photos kissing rays or with rays on your back and then being hassled to buy said tacky photos along with 5000 other cruise ship passengers. I just want a respectful encounter, are there any companies that offer this that people can recommend? We are staying 5 days so can go early/late, thanks.
For my master thesis I am going to be at Grand Cayman for one month (half April-half May).
We are looking for a cheap place to stay (both students and not so much to spend) preferably in George Town.
If you have any information, agencies or contacts, please let us know!
Hello! My husband and I are looking into a trip to Grand Cayman in February with our 2 adult sons. I can see that there are many luxurious hotels, but wonder if it is possible to find a nice apartment with cooking facilities and a pool that will not be outrageously expensive? We will have a rental car, and plan to travel around for diving, snorkelling, historical sites and restaurants. I appreciate any advice you can give. Many thanks!
I have put my app in for a 2 year contract in Georgetown, Grand Cayman, to start around mid-March 2016. I will have an 8 yr old with me. Looking for information about housing options, elementary/primary school options and opinions, childcare suggestions/options (must have 24-hr availability), any suggestions, things to watch out for, prepare for, etc. Any and all info is appreciated... TIA!!
My husband and I, usually more adventurous travelers, are opting for a cruise in a couple of weeks to try something laid back. Since we really don't want to partake in cookie-cutter shore excursions, I thought I'd ask all of you for your suggestions for our one day in Grand Cayman. My husband likes to surf, I like natural beauty and history, and we both love good local food. We're comfortable renting our own transportation and getting away from the usual tourist attractions if your suggestions…
Please I am visiting Cayman Islands from United Kingdom. I am looking for 3 months accommodation at very very low price? Can anyone help please ? I do not mind sharing
I am also looking at finding a engineering job. Does any know any engineering firms that I can talk while I am in Cayman Islands?
Hi All - Me and a friend are visiting the Caymans in May and are looking to do a PADI open water and refresher (for me) course. Can anyone recommend a good school? We haven't booked our hotel yet but will more than likely be staying near the 7 mile beach area. Is it worth staying in a dive resort of just book any hotel and go to a decent dive school? I realise that's a fairly general question but any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi! I've been to the Caribbean before, never with a cruise (not my type of vacationing ;)
Will arrive in George Town with my family just for few hrs (8am till 4pm) and wondering where we should/could go to explore a bit and maybe try some horse-riding, snorkeling, scuba diving or dolphin encounter (not in captivity) or anything kid friendly that's not a cruise ship expensive/crowded deal.
Suggestions and tips appreciated!!!!
